122. Oy Vey Parker, you sure do like to assume a lot, don't you?I care enough to know that the man you call president is a liar and the worst thing that ever happened to our nation. He and his administration and his rubber stamping republican congress have ruind our nation. This idiot has spent more money than any other president in history while taking more vacation days than any other president. He can't speak, he cant lead! He's all but given our country away to the Chinese. And I for one am sick and tired of what we as Americans have become, under this "Decider in Chief" the Compasionate Conservative!! I think this new breed of Republicans have sold their values down the river and have become whores. They don't give a rats ass about you or me, all they care about is wining at any cost. What I don't understand is how you conservatives aren't pissed off as hell with this IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dear G-d, I simply do not understand people that think we are in a good place in our country today.Parker.... that is some of what I think! Have a good day!

123. New to this blog so forgive me if I don't know the conventions. Some of you appear to know each other from prior exchanges. Interesting that you keep the banter going. I'm surprised at the lack of actual point-counterpoint, however.Patty was apparently pushed to deliver a fair amount of opinion. One point I want to take up, and ask for a real answer from the conservatives on the blog, is this one:Paraphrasing Patty's question: How are you not furious with this administration for moving so far from Republican ideals? Specifically, the GOP is the party of fiscal responsibility, yet this President didn't veto a single spending bill until Congress fell into the opposition's majority and he hasn't had a budget that approached break even. The GOP is the party of smaller government and yet this President increased the size of government by a greater degree than any since FDR (and don't blame it on the response to terror - if you've flown in the past 5 years, you know that the TSA has done nothing to make flying safer). This "war time President" as he likes to call himself is funding a war with our children's and our grandchildren's futures; he hasn't asked the nation to make any sacrifices - no tax increases, no shortages of goods, not even a call for the purchase of war bonds. I look forward to some meaningful responses, but am preparing myself for the unwarranted attacks Patty seems to receive.

124. IF HE COULD ONLY LEARN TO SAY NUCLEAR INSTEAD OF NUCULAR . . .THERE IS NO GOD !

125. Parker you are right about buckfush . . . one cannot be serious if it is ranting. However Gassett and buckfush are the same, both are extremes just of opposite poles of the spectrum and rant. Gassett's ranting does nothing for the republicans, just as the dam’s rants do not do anything for the dem cause. Don't berate Patty for trying to be civil . . . everyone should try it once in awhile. People are far more apt to take you serious if you’re not ranting regardless if you are a rep or dem.

126. Awe Tom . . . don't hate you . . . I don't even take you seriously enough to hate you. Having the kind of hate you have inside is just not worth it. I find your post entertaining. Honestly I half believe you are not really that hateful, but enjoy getting a rise out of people and by being a hate monger on line you are able to do this. I mean can anyone really be that polarized and bitter, I think it's an act. So keep the laughs coming. Oh and thanks for calling me witty and comparing me to Shakespeare . . . that is what you meant right? Just jokes Gassett! Lighten up. Even if you are being serious I am not. Your post does not warrant a serious response. However, your post does allow me to have a little fun. So thanks Gassett for the opportunity to have a little fun.

127. Gen I noticed you are good at going after jerks like Parker and Gassett. They love dishing it out. Don't they? Not good at the other end, but what else can you expect.Have you checked the Karl Rove blog? Gassett gets real nasty there. Called a girl a bitch, then has the nerve to get his shorts in a knott when he get attacked. Got to love this character.

128. Jen - I hear ya! I am just glad that Tom and Parker have each other for support against all of us communist fascist - smile. There are so many Gassett's in the world and it seems this one is emboldened by the computer. All you can do is laugh.

129. This just in------President POOPYPANTS had another rant at the press today over the Iraq funding bill.
Steve Seivers at 4:16PM on Dec 3rd 2007

130. GenI hear you,in fact I would say that the mayority of the GOP reps in Washington and the administration is full of Gasst's. Do you think we will ever get past this?? Cause at this rate, we'll be fighting eachother in our graves.Well it's like you said. Laugh at them. Laugh out-loud, laugh often. It really does help.
Jen at 4:24PM on Dec 3rd 2007

131. Well, where to start...Apparently I am loud enough (or republican enough) to warrant the nitpicking of all democrats. Call me offensive, a jerk, whatever you want, really. I am here to offer my 2 cents and that's it.

Patty: Thank you. I actually agree with you on something, our foreign policy toward China needs to be adjusted to compensate for our lack of economic growth. However, you tend to look only at the negatives, unemployment is at an all time low and the Iraq war is having a good month due to the surge.

"I think this new breed of Republicans have sold their values down the river and have become whores. They don't give a rats ass about you or me, all they care about is wining at any cost."
Dont care about the people, where is this argument founded? The want to win is what drives people, Patty, without it how are you to be competitive? If you don't want to win than you have no place in today's politics.

Nate: How are you not furious with this administration for moving so far from Republican ideals?
All of what you said is true. The reason I am not 'furious' with Bush's presidency is because, seriously, it could have been far worse. We had two choices: Bush and Kerry, and in my mind we made the right choice. After 911 no man, no matter what political orientation, would not have gone to war with these terrorists. If you disregard the ever-debated 'information' about nukes, then their still is plenty of reason for war: we were attacked, on our on soil, Americans were scared and a large number of them wanted revenge. The one rule of being a politician is that you represent the views of the people, regardless of your personal opinions; anyone who wants to stay in the game for the long run knows this. That probably did not answer the question fully, but I have more pressing matters.

A common liberal once said: "This just in------President POOPYPANTS had another rant at the press today over the Iraq funding bill."

Yah... This truly shows the depth and understanding of the common liberal stance toward Bush. That is pretty much all that needs to be said. Its not just steve, its *most* liberals (with a few exceptions, Patty being one of them, now that I know a little of opinion).

*I corrected myself... got to cover your bases.
